With Musiah online piano lessons, you will be able to achieve in weeks or months what might normally takes years to do. From what I have seen, Musiah is absolutely the best value, the most convenient and the most fun way to learn piano. I have to say that I think the stars have finally aligned for me to learn the piano and keyboard! And I'm absolutely thrilled. It has been a long time goal of mine as an adult to do so. But as a busy executive, I don't have the luxury of learning on an instructor's timetable. I just wanted to compliment you on such a great program. I have studied music in some form or another since I was 3. I’m a decent composer and I realized if I really wanted to take my skill to the next level I needed to be able to play and sight read piano much, much better. We think Musiah is great. My 13 year old son just loves it. We are now starting our 11 year old son. There is nothing out there like it. To be able to have the instant feedback at every practice is huge, you don't even get that with a private teacher. When my son took lessons from a teacher once a week he would forget how he was supposed to play a piece and so he would be playing it wrong all week until we met with the teacher again. That's a lot of wasted time, which also translates into a lot of wasted money. Another great feature of Musiah for parents is the emailed reports we receive. I don't play the piano myself and I have several children so I can't sit with each child during their lesson, so what would happen is the teacher used to tell us that my son was not practicing what he was supposed to be practicing during the week, and he was not practicing the amount of time he was supposed to be doing. With Musiah I never have to worry about those issues because I get the reports telling me exactly what he is doing. I also don't have to fight with my son to get him to practice because he really enjoys playing with Musiah, he's always excited to get to the next level. Musiah is has truly been an answer to our prayers, it has taken such a load off of us as parents. If I could design the perfect piano program this would be it, the developer was quite a genius. To top it all off you just couldn't get a better price. One more thing that has been great about Musiah is that since it is done on a keyboard my kids can practice any time of day without disturbing anyone because they can just plug in the headphones. What more could we ask for?

As an adult student with no prior piano experience, I find Musiah fun. This is great exercise for my "elderly" brain. ( I am 58 years old.) I believe that learning to play piano at my age will help keep my brain from stagnating! I like the fact that you get immediate feedback on what you've played. If your notes are wrong, you will know immediately. If your timing is off, you'll be informed promptly! My children took piano lessons when they were young with a piano teacher. I find that Musiah is better than an actual teacher because you can go over your piece, again and again without Musiah getting frustrated with you!

It has been a wonderful experience with Musiah. Totally exceeded all my expectations! I was actually planning to get a piano teacher for my wife and myself and then I came across Musiah. Musiah is the best interactive software for learning piano I have come across. You have an actual teacher who guides you through the lessons step by step. If you make a mistake he not only points out what and how, but fixes the problems you're having by working through exercises tailored to the issues you are specifically having. A very intelligent program, I love it. I also like the fact that you can't 'cheat' and just jump ahead, it makes sure you learn each item before introducing the next concept. I cannot recommend this highly enough, it blows piano marvel and playground sessions out of the water, it really is like having a piano teacher that interacts with you.

I have always wanted to play piano proficiently and as an adult I wasn't sure how I would ever achieve this goal. Now courtesy of the Musiah program I honestly believe I will achieve my goal. Musiah is well thought through and very thorough. Musiah is helping me improve my timing, music reading and technique all at the same time. I can learn at my own rate and every practise is an opportunity for me to gain greater progress. I thought at one stage that I was moving too quickly and perhaps I wasn't learning what I needed to thoroughly enough. This was a concern I didn't need to hold as the performance challenge meant that I had to polish up three songs at full tempo including a couple that I had found challenging. This was great and has kept me accountable. I also have my daughter learning at the same time and we are able to help each other. It is a fun, engaging and professional way to learn Piano. Given the cost and number of people who are able to use it under one license it is also one of the best value ways to learn Keyboard anywhere. I love it.

I'm a 42 year old male (husband and father of two young children) with no previous music experience. I've always wanted to learn how to play the keyboard, but never had the time or money to pay for lessons. I already play piano, but I like the idea to prove the software and mostly to encourage my 8 year old boy to get interested in piano. After few weeks we both learn and have fun together, and suprisely we are more connected as father and son. He learn to play piano with both hands and finally he can easly identify any note on the keyboard, and what I like the most is the he stop play ps3 to stay and practice more time with Musiah. We are thrilled with the results my 9 year old daughter has obtained so far. The program keeps her interest and the constant feedback and interactive learning keeps her attention and encourages her to keep working when she cannot master the skills initially. The value of the program is great. If we took her to lessons at a store she would receive 30 minutes a week for about $25. We paid for the whole year and she has already completed 19 lessons and is moving on the level 2 (it has been less than 3 months) She is playing with both hands and learning to read music and play in time. I am 61 years old and a tennis coach. With no previous musical experience I have been teaching myself piano for two years from youtube and books. I also took weekly private lessons for 6 months. Our hope was that through Musiah, our children would once more, become engaged and enthused for keyboards and piano, having become bored and disillusioned with traditional piano lessons. Well, not only has Musiah re-engaged them with keyboards but has had the unexpected result of reigniting their enthusiasm for playing piano as well.
In my opinion, Musiah is designed to engage this and future generations' children in a format that appeals to them - that they relate to i.e. an interactive computer learning process, not dissimilar to what would have traditionally been called a video game. That it has the same effect on adults wishing to learn keyboards and piano, is such a very welcome suprise. My wife is a professional violinist and viola player. I am amazed at how Musiah has captured her imagination and enthused her to develop her keyboard and piano skills.
As a former professional musician myself, one of the things I appreciate the most about Musiah, is its very heavy focus on quality Music Theory, which is so essential and presents in such a way that children are generally only vaguely aware that they are learning theory - it's all just fun for them. I'm thrilled with how organized the curriculum is as well as how precise and immediate the feedback is when I make mistakes. I have done an extensive research for piano classes for my 7 year old daughter after she took some classes with a piano teacher but got easily bored. I find MUSIAH and I took the 2 week trial to test it by myself. After an intensive use (I have no prior piano instruction) these are my conclusions: 1. Excellent interactive and complete piano program: theory and REAL TIME piano practice that corrects and reinforces all playing concerns INMEDIATELLY (I didn't find another program that really make that, it's like having a teacher near you all time 2. Fun learning environment (essential for kids... and why not adults?? : ) 3. You have your Musiah teacher anywhere, anytime and any long sessions as you want. Something else, my family is Spanish native speaker (sorry for my English mistakes), and we usually learn music using solfegio, but those were no barriers at the time of use MUSIAH, and although initially it was for my daughter, now also my 16 year old son and myself got catched by this learning program. Conclusion: we are now playing piano (real songs as beginners... for now) As a user, it's the correct way to go, and we hope it continues evolving with adding classes for higher piano levels.
With age comes the realisation that you can do anything with determination and application. So a few weeks ago, for reasons I can’t explain, I suddenly decided: I’m going to learn piano.
When I decided to learn, I knew I couldn’t teach myself. Instead, I had to ask myself a question: do I want to do this properly? Learn sight reading and correct technique and all that? I wasn’t sure. I don’t like classical music much, so the idea of studying grade 1 Mozart or whatever didn’t get me excited. But I knew it was probably the right way to go.
While thinking about how to find a teacher, I happened across Musiah on YouTube. It sounded intriguing so I downloaded it. Thank God I did. It’s amazing. I’m now coming up to two weeks in, and I’m half way through Level 3. For me, the program does everything Brendan describes. It breaks everything down into small chunks, just hard enough to be a challenge but not insurmountable. It consolidates existing learning with every new lesson, and it turns everything into a game.
Though I know I’m being manipulated in a way, it doesn’t stop me striving to pass the auditions, improve my scores and progress. I spend well over an hour a day on Musiah. After less than two weeks, I can’t quite believe the progress I’ve made.
I think of all the things that makes Musiah work, the most important is that you’re never ‘alone’ while you’re learning. It makes you want to get back to the piano - you know there’s some new thing to learn or test to pass.
I sometimes wonder where I would be if I had hired a teacher. I might be on my second lesson by now. How much could I have learned? I assume I would have picked up and practiced maybe one or two items of knowledge, rather than dozens - as I have with Musiah.
The articles on the Musiah site talk a lot about how the program doesn’t just teach you technique, but also deeper lessons about patience and determination. It’s so true. In just 10 days, I’ve discovered the joy of slowing difficult things down, and the pleasure of seeing my muscle memory steadily improve. I still get very frustrated. But I can cope with it.
Also, I can look ahead to the songs in later levels and - though they seem impossible - a part of me thinks: well, if I follow the instructions and practice, I can get there. I’m so grateful to have found Musiah. It’s become a wonderful obsession, and I’m determined to finish the course. My old resistence to classical repertoire has also gone. I just see these pieces as markers of my progress. Oh, and it’s true. Brendan really does reply personally to your emails. I’ve already sent him three! He must be sick of me.
