Musiah Review: Piano Lessons Designed By A Real Teacher

Christina G Student of Musiah Piano Lessons"I like that Musiah is designed by a real piano teacher with years of experience. The interface shows your errors as you play, then takes you through the areas you have trouble with until you perfect the song."

I like that I can fit piano practice with Musiah around my other commitments. I studied piano in school 18 years ago. I always wanted to continue my practice but work and travel made it hard to find a teacher and time, so I lost my skills. I also didn't initially think to look online.

When I did look online, many music learning apps and programs seemed gimmicky or tried to upsell products without clear pedagogy.

I like that Musiah is designed by a real piano teacher with years of experience. Musiah’s interface shows your errors as you play, then takes you through the areas you have trouble with until you perfect the song.

I am currently working on level 6 and have also started learning other songs from sheet music. I progressed though the early levels easily but quite quickly found particular songs challenging.

I am happy to find my sight reading skills have improved which makes learning from the other sheet music much easier. Musiah is also helping to improve my rhythm, timing and sense of playing with others. I like the ear training game too.

I started with the story mode turned off, but recently turned it on for fun.

I would recommend Musiah to both kids and adults, together with Brendan’s videos on posture and warm up exercises.

I aim to finish all levels, then find a teacher who can help me to learn blues and improvisation.
